Welcome to Summerhouse Dog Field...

A safe, secure, and beautiful area on the Herts, Cambs border for you to exercise or train your dog(s).
Available to hire by the hour with its own parking area and double gated entrance our enclosed dog field nestles in open farmland with lots of sky and commanding views over the Hertfordshire (to the south) and Cambridgeshire (to the north) countryside.

The secure field has been purpose built to keep our four-legged friends safe and secure. The field is 1.54 acres, surrounded by fencing & gates that stand at 5ft 2 inches high, it is the perfect area within which to exercise your dog or tackle some serious off-lead training without distraction or danger of escape.

A mains fed water tap in now available inside the field providing fresh water for your dog. The only time that this facility may be unavailable is in very low temperatures when freezing may occur.

Please also be aware that Summerhouse Farm is a working farm and therefore seasonal machinery may be working in adjacent fields.

£10.00 50 minutes

Each session booked is for 50 minutes, starting on the hour. This allows 10 minutes for change over and to reduce any confrontations for nervous dogs or owners.

Please arrive and leave the field promptly at the start and finish of your appointment times to avoid crossovers.

Terms of Use

By booking to use our dog field you acknowledge and agree to our terms of use:
  1. Use of the dog field is entirely at your own risk. The landowner accepts no liability for injury or death of any person or dog or for damage to any property. We also accept no liability for losses or liability incurred by the customer while using the field.
  2. This field can only be used by prior appointment. No unauthorised use will be permitted.
  3. The field fencing just over 5ft high, whilst the field is secure, it may not be secure if you have a dog that is able to jump high fences. Please always keep watch over your dog(s).
  4. Dogs must always be supervised. We DO NOT take responsibility for lost dogs.
  5. Accompanying children must always be supervised.
  6. All dogs must be vaccinated.
  7. If your dog is showing any signs of illness such as diarrhoea, sickness, coughing or any other contagious illness you must NOT use this field.
  8. You agree to clean up any dog poo and place in bins provided – bag it and bin it.
  9. Do not allow your dog to dig holes in the surface or near the fence, if unavoidable please report immediately.
  10. Do not climb the fence or cause damage to the fencing, please report any observations of damage immediately.
  11. Do not exercise your dog(s) outside the dog field.
  12. Do not leave your dog(s) unattended at any time, both in the field or in a vehicle.
  13. Please arrive and leave the field promptly at the start and finish of your appointment times to avoid crossovers.
  14. Ensure all gates are closed and locked when leaving the field.

The site has been awarded Cassoa Gold accreditation for security and customers have 24/7 access to their caravans.
